In the days before low cost airlines and cheap package deals, hordes of holiday-makers would flock to the North Wales Coast. In the seaside town of Colwyn Bay, thousands of visitors enjoyed the parks and beaches during the busy summer season. Things are a little quieter in Colwyn Bay these days – but come the summer, tourism still plays a vital role in the town’s fortunes. In this programme we’ll be going behind the scenes as three local attractions gear up for the holiday season - but is there still an audience for old fashioned seaside entertainment?
